Professional Use | Mizutani Scissors Returns & Change of Mind Policy
We understand that selecting the perfect scissor is a personal decision, and sometimes a model may not be quite right.
That’s why all Mizutani Scissor purchases are covered by a 10-Day Change of Mind policy. You’re welcome to use your scissors during this period. If you find they’re not the right fit for your cutting style, you may return them within 10 days of receiving your order to be eligible.
As part of this policy, we’re happy to offer store credit, which can be used toward purchasing another model that better suits your cutting style.
Please note:
Refunds are not issued for change of mind, unless required by Law.
Refunds are only available in specific circumstances:
- Faulty, or
- Not fit for its intended purpose, or
- Significantly different from its description or sample shown.
To be eligible for a change of mind return:
- You must contact us within 10 days of receiving your order,
- The item must be free from hair, not damaged, in original packaging, and in saleable condition,
- Return postage is the customer’s responsibility. We recommend using a tracked and insured postal service, as Mizutani Australia is not liable for lost or damaged parcels.
The Change of Mind policy excludes any scissors that have been customised with engravings, special colour coatings, size modifications, or any other personalised alterations. Due to the nature of the customisation, change of mind is not applicable. In the event your custom scissors have a fault, please contact our team as you may be eligible for a return. How to Return Your Scissors for Change of Mind.
Step 1: Lodge Your Return Request
Log into your account and submit a return request via the “Orders” tab.
Step 2: Send Your Scissors Back
Carefully package the scissors in a sturdy box. We strongly recommend using trackable and insured shipping.

Step 3: Assessment
Upon arrival, our team will assess the item. If there is any damage - particularly to the blade edge - a repair fee will be deducted from your store credit. Most minor repairs start at $100, but this will be confirmed after inspection.
If the scissors are returned in acceptable condition, we will proceed with issuing store credit.
Step 4: Repurchasing
Once credit is applied, you can log into your account and purchase a different pair of Mizutani Scissors. If you need help choosing a new model, feel free to call us on 02 9813 3080 or reply to your order confirmation email, we’re always happy to help.
