Customise your Mizutani Scissors with a colour coating

Choose from Matte Black, Shiny Black, Matte Gold, Shiny Gold, Matte Silver, Matte Chocolate, Shiny Chocolate

We send your scissor to the Mizutani Factory in Japan where your scissors are coloured back in the factory. It is very important to only let Mizutani Specialists alter or service your scissors. Damage caused by an outside sharpening or engraving company can cause permanent damage to your scissors which will void your lifetime warranty with Mizutani. Mizutani specialist know, the best methods for coating your scissors that is durable and long lasting, where to engrave, how to engrave and how much metal to remove during sharpening for minimal blade removal.

I'm buying a new scissor and I'd like a colour coating before I receive my scissor

1. Place your Mizutani scissor order and add the engraving to your cart too
2. We send your scissor off to Mizutani Japan for your selected colour - this takes around 6-8 weeks
3. Once your scissor is back - we post it straight out to you

I have a Mizutani I'd like to have coloured

1. Purchase your Mizutani colour
2. Post your scissors into us: Professional Use, PO Box 80, North Ryde BC NSW 1670 (Postage to us is not covered by Professional Use)
3. We send your scissor off to Mizutani Japan for your selected colour coating - this takes around 6-8 weeks (great idea to time this with sharpening)
4. Once your scissor is back - we post it straight out to you (Postage paid on checkout)

Please note that adding a colour coating to your scissor may change the way the scissor feels upon open and close of the blades.

All Mizutani customisation sales are final. Once your scissor has been customised or modified, we do not accept change of mind returns or exchanges. Mizutani will always endeavour to fix your scissors or arrange for your model to be serviced upon reason.

How long will customisations take? 

Custom colour is a delicate and intricate process that requires around 12-16 weeks to perfect. If you looking to spruce up your current Mizutani scissors we recommend timing your custom colour with sharpening.

When do we send off your newly purchased scissors/your current scissors to Japan for coating?

Your scissors will be sent to Japan for custom coating with our regular sharpening shipments that are sent weekly
